A University of Kentucky nursing student, Anne Gieske, was identified among the more than 150 people killed in a crowd surge in Itaewon, South Korea.
Gieske was studying abroad this semester and was a nursing student from Northern Kentucky.
President Yoon Suk-yeol has declared a period of national mourning, over the deadly stampede during Halloween celebrations in Itaewon. Expressing his condolences, Yoon ordered the lowering of flags, Mourning period will last until Nov. 5.
