In a Cambridge City single-vehicle collision on Thursday night, Barrett, 29, died and a kid was hurt.
According to sources, Barrett was driving a GMC Jimmy in Cambridge City’s 2200 block of Boyd Road when, for an unknown cause, the car veered off the road and struck a tree.
Barrett suffered injuries from severe impact trauma and was declared dead on the spot.
Barrett’s 5-year-old son emerged from the debris on his own with very minor wounds.
