Bello Musa Kofarmata Obituary, Death Cause: Bello Musa Kofarmata, a former striker for the Super Eagles and Kano Pillars, reportedly passed away at the age of 34.

The former Nigerian international passed suddenly late on Tuesday, November 1, in Kano, his hometown, following a brief illness, according to Oyo Sports News.

As per Islamic tradition, the deceased will be buried later today (Wednesday).

In 2007, Kofarmata signed on with Kano’s Buffalo F.C. to play football. In the same year, he joined Kano Pillars. He joined Heartland FC in Owerri after leaving Kano Pillars in 2010, then in 2012, he changed to Elkanemi Warriors in Maiduguri. He went back to Kano Pillars after that.

After several trials with the squad, he signed a contract with IK Start of Norway. He won the Nigerian Premier League in 2007–08 with Kano Pillars, and his 11 goals made him the league’s leading scorer.

Kofarmata participated in one friendly match while on trial with Austria’s LASK in August 2008. At the start of the 2008 season, the forward visited Pillars after spending time in Europe. In January 2010, he signed on with Heartland for a sum of N5 million. He left Heartland after 2.5 years and signed with Kano Pillars, his longtime team.

The late Kofarmata traveled to Canada in 2007 with the Nigerian team for the FIFA U20 World Cup.

He made his Super Eagles debut in March 2010, coming on as a substitute in the 5-2 friendly match win over DR Congo in Abuja.
