Bert has represented virtually every major Hollywood studio and talent agency and has tried many of the entertainment and communications industry’s iconic cases over the past 30 years.

His third book is a biographical work on Richard III published under his name by ReganBooks/HarperCollins. He was married three times. After graduating from law school, Fields married his college sweetheart, Amy Maxson, with whom they had a son, James Elder Fields (born 1955).
He married fashion model Lydia Minevitch (daughter of musician Borrah Minevitch) in 1960, and the two settled for divorce two years earlier.
He met his third wife, the art expert Barbara Guggenheim, whom she hired to defend her when Sylvester Stallone sued her in 1989. They married in 1991.
