Victim from Monday night’s homicide is identified by Birmingham Police as Keyon Pollock.
According to a press release from the department, Birmingham 9-1-1 got a call about a person who had been shot in the 10 block of Elba Avenue on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 10:10 PM.
The victim was found by the police with a gunshot wound. When Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service got on the scene, they transported the victim with critical injuries to UAB Hospital. A few hours later, the victim passed away from his wounds.
The victim was Birmingham resident Keyon Pollock, 22, according to BPD.
According to the preliminary findings of the Birmingham Police Department investigation, after being shot, Pollock approached a house and requested that they call for help.
Nobody is being held in relation to this tragic shooting. If anyone has information on the case, they should get in touch with the B.P.D.
