He died on Monday 11th December 2023 leaving family and friends in shock and disbelief. At the moment, the Independence Police Department is in the process of conducting an investigation into a single-vehicle accident that took place on Monday morning at approximately 12:20 on the hour. This terrible event took place on 23rd Street, to the east of Crysler Avenue, and resulted in the death of the lone occupant, who was named as Daniel S. Nelson, a resident of Independence who was 33 years old. During the time when the incident occurred, there were no other people who were contained within the vehicle.The Chevrolet Impala driven by Nelson was traveling east on 23rd Street when it was involved in a collision with the railroad bridge, as shown by the police reports. Nelson sadly passed away at the scene of the accident as a result of his injuries. Nelson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, according to the authorities, who have suggested that there is evidence to suggest that this was the case.
