Born on August 19, 1980, in Glasgow, Scotland, Darius became a Scottish singer-songwriter, actor, and film producer. He made his first appearance as a pop star in the inaugural ITV Pop Idol talent contest series in 2001 and 2002. Campbell’s family lives in Bearsden.

Campbell’s career began in the 1990s with non-singing roles in the avant-garde production of The Trojans for Scottish Opera House. Then, when he was a teenager, he sang Carmen with the Scottish Opera at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
