In addition to attending Downtown Magnets High School, Harris attended the University of California, Irvine, where he majored in Sociology.
At the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, California, Harris held the position of Quality Control Customer Relations Supervisor prior to his retirement. He also worked for NCES Now as a customer service representative. Deondre Harris was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
On other news, one person died and two others were taken to the hospital after a collision that occurred late on Sunday night in Baldwin Hills. At around 11:20 p.m., a car was traveling south in the northbound lanes of La Cienega Boulevard when it collided with a vehicle traveling northbound near the intersection with Obama Boulevard, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department.
After the first two automobiles had already collided, a third vehicle then collided with them. Hospitals in the area were visited by three individuals. A person who had been riding in the vehicle that was traveling in the opposite direction passed away at the hospital as a result of their injuries, while the conditions of the other two individuals are not yet known.
