Dexter Snikrep Obituary: A man who died in a shooting at a Wheaton, Illinois pub has been identified as a father of two with one on the way. Dexter Snikrep passed away after a fight with another male inside a pub at Rosie O Reilly’s Pub in Wheaton Illinois. The deadly incident occurred early Friday morning, according to law enforcement agencies.
On Friday early, an apparent altercation at a popular pub in rural Wheaton resulted in a shooting. The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) reported a gunshot at Rosie O’Reilly’s Pub, 0N131 Gary Ave., shortly before 8:45 a.m. on Friday. Witnesses recounted what appeared to be an altercation occurring inside the pub, which led to a fatality.
A DCSO representative confirmed the homicide, however, the identity of the deceased man is being suppressed while the DuPage County Coroner’s Office conducts an autopsy. The victim was well-known to the pub’s owners and patrons.
On Friday morning, two people appeared to be bickering inside Rosie O’Reilly’s before leaving. According to Dwyer, one of the individuals then went to fetch his gun. A gunshot wound struck the victim on the forehead, killing him. Investigators from the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office are apparently in possession of the pub’s surveillance video, which could throw light on what transpired there Friday early, which resulted in the death of a man.
According to the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, the situation was quickly secured, and everyone involved, including the alleged gunman, is in custody. According to officials, this was an isolated incident and there was no danger to the public.
