Eamon had a distinguished playing career in football as a goalkeeper, having played for Shelbourne FC, Dundalk FC, Oldham Athletic FC, Shamrock Rovers FC, and Drumcondra FC. He also won a Republic of Ireland B cap in 1960.
Eamon was the manager of the Republic of Ireland women’s team during its formative years in the 1980s and one of the original organizers of the Kildare and District Football League in 1994.
Early in the 1990s, Eamon was a member of the management staff for our first squad, and he helped elevate the club with his skills and knowledge.
