Eileen Sheehan Ski Accident: University of Michigan student identified as woman killed in Aspen ski accident.

At a ski resort in Aspen on Saturday, a skier lost her life after a tragic collision with a tree.

According to reports, the 22-year-old woman collided with a tree on the Exhibition run at Aspen Highlands shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, a statement from Aspen Skiing Company said.

Ski Patrol reacted right away, according to the statement. They began life-saving procedures as soon as they realized she was unconscious and unresponsive.

It was just after noon when the woman was declared dead.

The deceased woman has been unofficially identified as Eileen Sheehan.

“We are deeply saddened by this tragic accident and our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time,” Aspen Skiing Company said.
