Emily Matson was an American journalist who worked at WICU as an anchor for the nightly broadcast that was the most popular in Erie. She provided her services at 7:00 and 11:00 p.m., alongside John Stehlin and Mike Ruzzi. It was in April of 2004 that she started working at the station as a general assignment reporter.

More than one and a half decades had passed since she began working at the station. In addition to that, she worked as a reporter and anchor for Lilly Broadcasting, Erie News Now, and CBS USVI News. The city of Erie, Pennsylvania is where Emily was born and reared. She attended Mercyhurst Preparatory School and graduated from there.

After graduating from high school, Emily continued her education at La Roche College, from where she received her degree in 2003. Many people have always appreciated her demeanor, which was cheerful and lighthearted. It was a pleasure to observe her. Her work as a reporter was remarkable.
