Forsyth County Car Accident: Alliance Academy for Innovation student killed in solo-car accident near Denmark High School.
In a collision that happened in Forsyth County early on Tuesday, a 16-year-old Alliance Academy for Innovation student was killed and another was hurt.
According to deputies from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the collision took place at Mullinax Road and Windy Hill Road shortly before 8 a.m.
Investigators claim that the collision occurred when a gray 1996 Toyota 4Runner being operated by a 17-year-old ran off the road and into the curb on the right side of the street.
According to deputies, the adolescent driver overcorrected, causing the car to lose control and roll.
The 16-year-old passenger was killed when the car eventually collided with an electric pole. The driver sustained minor wounds.
According to The Forsyth County News, the victim attended Alliance Academy for Innovation, and it appears that the two teenagers are sisters.
