Geoff Nuttall Obituary, Death Cause: The director of chamber music at the Spoleto Festival died at his home in California Wednesday, officials confirmed. Geoff Nuttall, 56, died, according to festival spokesperson Jenny Ouellette. He was undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer.

All he cared about was the communitarian, cathartic power of music. And because of that, he changed chamber music in America.”
Geoff Nuttall was a rock star, an exuberant and adventurous force of nature, music personified. A man who brought love, passion and joy to every note he played, every thing he touched and every person that had the good fortune of knowing or hearing him.
