John Laird Obituary, Death Cause: John Laird, the driver of the Mercedes C220, collided with a Ford Mondeo near the Kings Park Hotel in Rutherglen shortly before midnight on Friday 18 November. Passenger Michael McManamon, 73, died at the scene. John was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but could not be saved. John Laird, 80, died at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
