Jonathan Klimow Calgary, Alberta died in paragliding accident in Valle de Bravo, Mexico City

Jonathan Klimow Death: A well-known Calgary, Alberta Hang Gliding and Paragliding coach has tragically passed away following an accident in Valle de Bravo Penon, Mexico City. Jonathan Klimow died in the accident that happened on December 18, 2023, in faraway Mexico. The HG Senior Instructor T2 instructor was pronounced dead in the accident that happened Monday afternoon.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene of the incident. According to the law enforcement agencies, a large number of rescue teams, and police officials were dispatched to the scene where the paragliding accident occurred. After many hours of attempting to reach Jonathan, his body was located at the base of a mountain otherwise called “Penon.”

The family was notified and has since started plans to return his body home for the funeral. A grieving friend wrote: “Fly high and far into the worlds beyond our own Jonathan Klimow. You inspired me with your one-on-one coaching and your gentle approach to paragliding. Your phenomenal accomplishments made dreams seem within my reach and helped me persevere. You will be missed by many and your influence will live on in the lives you touched.
