K9 Bico Death: Officer at Upper Macungie Township Police Department has Passed Away

K9 Bico Death- The Upper Macungie Township Police Department acknowledges the passing of K9 Bico, Sergeant Matthew Gardner’s devoted and beloved canine partner, with profound grief.

K9 Bico served Upper Macungie Township residents for eight years alongside Sergeant Gardner. Throughout this time, Sergeant Gardner and K9 Bico were in charge of seizing a large number of drugs, as well as tools of crime like firearms and automobiles.

Additionally, K9 Bico relished displaying his sharp apprehension abilities at neighborhood gatherings like National Night Out, where Sergeant Gardner and K9 Bico were a consistent presence.

K9 Bico successfully located an old man who was roaming in the freezing weather on his second to last shift. The man had dementia.
K9 Bico suffered a fatal injury just before turning nine ( a herniated disc in his back). K9 Bico spent his retirement years with the Gardner family, who treated him with the respect and love he so richly earned.

K9 Bico took tremendous delight in helping the people of Upper Macungie Township, and the other officers who worked with him admired and thanked him for his dedication to duty.
