Kayleigh Smith Death – The victims of a rollover collision in Coryell County were identified by the Texas Department of Public Safety as Nakoda Cheyenne Layton, 18, and Kayleigh Smith, 17, of Coryell County. The DPS claims that neither of the two teenagers had on a seatbelt. When their car rolled early on Monday morning on I-14, they were flung from it. According to DPS, it occurred in the eastbound lane close to Central Texas College, around mile marker 278, just before one in the morning.
According to DPS, Layton ran off the road and into an embankment, which caused the gray 2006 Dodge Ram they were riding in to turn over. Per the DPS, Layton and Kayleigh passed away at the scene.
