Lucky Eagle Casino Shooting Investigation – A 55-year-old Lakewood man was shot by a Thurston County Sheriff’s deputy on Tuesday night outside the Lucky Eagle Casino. After being transported to a hospital, the suspect received treatment, but he eventually passed away from his wounds. A police statement claimed that the suspect was pointing a gun at the deputy.

Authorities say the Lakewood man was shot by a Thurston County Sheriff’s deputy on Tuesday night outside the Lucky Eagle Casino. According to the initial police statement, the suspect received medical attention at Harborview Medical Center. But according to a later statement, he was brought to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Olympia where he passed away.

Preliminary investigations determined that the subject pulled a gun at the security guard at the entrance of the business place. Law enforcement agencies were called to the scene where a sheriff discharged his weapon, fatally striking the suspect.

The name of the suspect has not been released. This is a developing story.
