A major crash on I-95 in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, resulted in life-threatening injuries for at least one person and closed all northbound lanes of the highway on Monday afternoon. The crash involved two cars that collided near Exit 7 around 4:30 p.m. One of the cars ended up on top of a guardrail and caught fire, while the other car was severely damaged. Debris was scattered across the roadway, creating a chaotic scene.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, the crash was caused by a driver who was speeding and lost control of his vehicle. He hit another car that was traveling in the same direction, causing both cars to spin out of control and hit two other cars that were stopped at the intersection. The driver who caused the crash was ejected from his car and suffered critical injuries. He was airlifted to a hospital in Boston. The driver of the car he hit was also injured and taken to a hospital in Providence. The other two drivers suffered minor injuries and were treated at a local hospital. The crash caused a major traffic disruption on I-95 northbound, as all lanes were closed for several hours while emergency crews worked to clear the scene and investigate the cause of the crash. Traffic was slowly getting by around 5 p.m., but there were still significant delays along the highway. Drivers were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
