On Saturday, just after 10:15 p.m., the event occurred in the parking lot of The Market at Spring Creek in southeast Colorado Springs. When authorities got on the scene, they discovered numerous people who had been gravely hurt.

They were transferred to a nearby hospital, where one died from his injuries and four were classified in critical but stable condition. Marisol Wentling was recognized as the driver, and she was not seriously injured. On Sunday, she was detained for careless driving and transported to jail.
