Narciso Saravia and Maria Saravia, Ronkonkoma Car Accident: Central Islip coupled struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing the road in Ronkonkoma.
60-year-old Narciso Saravia and 59-year-old Maria Saravia, both of Central Islip, were walking across Ocean Avenue, from east to west, between Express Drive North and Michigan Street in Ronkonkoma, when they were struck by a southbound 2007 Hyundai Elantra at approximately 7 p.m. on Saturday night, police said.
Narciso was pronounced dead at the scene, while his wife, Maria was taken by Lakeland Rescue ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police reported that the Hyundai’s driver was unharmed and that the vehicle had been detained for a safety inspection.
