Seamus Rodgers, of Gortnabrade, Carrigart, and owner of SR Autos, Milford, passed away tragically.
Seamus Rodgers of Gortnabrade, Carrigart, has been identified as the victim of the accident that occurred on Friday on the route connecting Cranford and Carrigart.
On an aforementioned morning, sometime before 8 am, he was killed in a crash. A portion of the day was spent with the road temporarily closed and diversion routes in operation.
The late Mr. Rodgers, a reputable and well-known businessman, was the owner of SR Auto Parts in Milford. He also served as the captain of a number of well-known fishing trawlers at various points in his life.
Removal to his late home today at 2:00 p.m. from Eternal Light Chapel of Rest in Mountain Top.
This coming Saturday at 2 p.m., he will be taken from Mountain Top’s Eternal Light Chapel of Rest to his final home.
On Tuesday, October 18, his funeral will leave from there and go to the Church of St. John the Baptist for a Requiem Mass at 11 a.m., after which he will be laid to rest in the nearby cemetery.
