On a somber note, Meehan remarked, “We were all shocked to discover today that Hale Harrison had passed away. “He was well-known to everyone in this room and everyone up here. I feel confident in saying that almost everyone in this town was familiar with him.”
In the Harrison Group Resort Hotels and Restaurants, Harrison is a partner. Throughout 1970, Harrison and his brother John created the Harrison Group, which today comprises a dozen hotels, a large number of restaurants, and properties in North Carolina and Virginia in addition to properties in Ocean City.
