The person killed in a deadly car accident on Sunday in Iberville Parish has been named as Courtney Terrel Davis Sr. of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Overnight in Maringouin, a single-vehicle accident claimed the life of 44-year-old Davis.
The pickup truck Davis was riding in reportedly left the road early on Sunday morning on LA-77 near Wheelock Lane in Maringouin for an unspecified cause. The car then overturned.
Davis, who was ejected from the car during the collision, was declared dead at the scene from blunt force trauma injuries.
A second passenger in the car sustained minor wounds.
The identity of the truck’s driver at the time of the collision is still under investigation by the authorities.
