At the age of 80, Mr. Tony Bass (Tich), of Danesmoor, Clay Cross, passed away tragically at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
Tony was born in Pye Hill, Selston, and has lived in Danesmoor for 56 years. Prior to retiring in 1995, he worked at Vann Leels, Danesmoor, and Smarts Fruit and Veg.

He enjoyed watching nature, playing sports, and going for walks in the countryside. He used to be an amateur boxer when he was younger.
Tony is survived by his wife Dorothy, sons Ian, Tony, and Russell, daughter Clare, daughter-in-law Jeanette, son-in-law Jason, grandchildren Jamie, Kirstie, Jordan, Leah, and Paige, great-grandchildren Maddison, Payton, and Auley, sister Maureen, and brother-in-law Richard. He also leaves behind grandchildren Jamie, Kirstie, Jordan, Leah, and Paige.

The funeral service is held at Chesterfield Crematorium on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 1:10 p.m. The Nottinghamshire and Derby Air Ambulance will receive all donations made in Tony’s honor.
