A 15-year-old pedestrian who was struck by a car on Highway 60 and was in critical condition has died, according to the Aurora-Marionville Police Department.
A press release stated that the accident happened on October 27.
Police suspect that the 15-year-old boy and a buddy were difficult to spot while the car was moving because they were wearing dark clothing and were crossing Highway 60 in low light.
According to the AMPD, the car’s driver is cooperating and there is no indication that alcohol or drugs were used.
Troy Clifton Devine Jr. of Aurora has been named as the victim by police as of today. The collision is still being investigated, according to the AMPD.
