Wally Tatomir Career
Tatomir has worked on ice hockey equipment for over 30 years. He played for the Windsor Spitfire and the Detroit Junior Red Wings for several years in the Ontario Hockey League. At the infamous 1987 World Championships, he was the lead equipment manager for the Canadian national youth team.
In the NHL, he served as an equipment consultant for the Los Angeles Kings and Detroit Red Wings. He joined the Carolina Hurricanes (then Hartford Whalers) in 1994. He won the Stanley Cup with the Hurricanes as chief equipment manager during the 2005-06 NHL season.
